Dear Baby Seay

There is a special friend of mommy and daddy's that is moving today.

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and this is not just the emotions talking (but it might be influencing this letter just a tad)

I wanted to tell you a little bit about Auntie K before she leaves and I forget to write this.

She is a good friend to both your mommy and daddy. She has been our friend for about 2 years now. While that might not be long for most people, she is a person who puts a lot of effort into friendship and your mommy really appreciates that. She always shows up. She comes to everything.  She celebrated my birthday with us and she has spent many a day with me doing nothing but talking.  We met at chili's and we became very close friends not too long after that. She spent thanksgiving with your grama  and your aunts and uncles. She is the person who knew who you were before we did. She knows a lot about me and your daddy and she loves us despite our flaws.

She knows I have a hard time with conflict and she always stands up for me when people talk behind my back. If someone said something about us. She told us.

She has always been true. But some people lose sight of appreciating her strong character and drive to succeed and just start to dislike her. Your daddy and I love her. She has a lot of love and care to give to you. And I have no doubt you will know her. She may not be here all the time like she and mommy wish. But she will be there. Baby seay. All I hope for you when you grow up is that you have a friend like your auntie K.

I pray that you can look at people and appreciate the good in them And see strength in the areas that most people see competition.
I pray that you look past the surface and see the beauty of the heart of a person.

Accept their failures and flaws and love them despite the weak moments that we all are prone to.

Support them through everything and you will know true friendship. Because a friend that fights for you is worth fighting for every time.
